Has your definition of art clanged since from the beginning of this class? Which project was your most successful? Describe the theme and or topic and the process you went through to complete the project. My most successful project has to me my limitations project. A group of me and my friends bought a hamster that was gonna run through paint and then on a piece of paper to create our art. We figured that paint could be toxic so we decided on a non toxic ink. We took the hamster and put his paws on the ink and he ran around the paper leaving his footprints. We changed colors every once in a while and it turned out really well. Medium: which medium did you most enjoy working with and why? Which medium did you not use but wish you had explored? Include photo. My favorite medium to use was the charcoal. I liked the charcoal because you did not have to be so perfect with every motion since you were gonna just rub/spread it anyway. I had two charcoal drawings but the one of the spoon is my favorite. The medium I never used were markers which can sound lame but I wish I had explored them a little more. Choose a place or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist. One that you have a personal connection to. Please explain. The artwork that reflects me the most is the art journaling. It is a crazy piece of art that truthfully can hardly be described as art. It however reflects me because I myself am crazy and abstract but that is what makes me great. Just like my art jounaling. What did you find most difficult about this class? This could be anything from gathering materials, to generating projects ideas, to applying a particular technique. What could be done to resolve this issue in the future?
The hardest part of this class was figuring out project ideas and keeping up blog posts. I loved doing the projects but coming up with ideas was sometimes a challenge. Also I would forget to post my blogs for each project. Something that could help in the future is to give more examples and to also enforce due dates more on blog posts. This styrogami was hard to figure what exactly what to do.
In this mini lesson I learned Cutting a cup with an exacto knife is harder than I thought. It's successful because it was fun and abstract which is easier to do. If I were to do this again I would take more time making better cuts on the cup making it look better. In this lesson I learned that art is everywhere even in nature. Here my friends and I took a bunch of sticks to make a real "stick figure". It is successful because it turned out great but the only thing I would do differently is to add a little more detail.
This was one of my favorite lessons because I love to work with clay. You can make anything out of block of clay. It was successful in that I made a walrus that I really liked but I was short on time and couldnt finish it. It also broke a little but it was still one of my favorites.
